My dream job

In the future I would like to work as a dentist, that is why I am studying dentistry. I want to be able to help people to have a good quality of life, as oral health is a very influential factor in this.

To practice as a dentist, fine motor skills must be highly developed, since the area in wich one works is very small and a lot of precision is needed to work on it, in addition, one must be very careful with the comfort of our patient to generate a great experience in our dental practice. We must also have communication skills, as we have interactions with both our patients and colleagues.

I would like to specialize in a specific area: Pediatric dentistry. I like the idea of working with children, to teach from an early age the importance of dental health care, in addition, children often have a wrong idea of what a dentist is like, therefore, it is very important to be empathic with them and teach them, so that they have a good experience and thus break a stereotype. 

The salary of a dentist in Chile varies from $406.850 to $1.014.517 per month, this varies depending on whether you work in the public or private sector, in addition to the level of studies you have.
